I mean, would it help with the Asthma in the event of an inahler not working? I was just wondering. No need to tell me to go to the ER.

my mum is now asthmatic, she had an asthma attack and has recoverd from it now, she struggled because she couldnt take a breath of her inhailor, what should i do if this happens?

I have asthma, and I can sprint extremely fast, but if if I run anything over 1/4 of a mile, I am going to need an inhaler. Jogging a mile, I can do, but only with an inhaler. I have ran 5 miles before but took frequent breaks. I plan on joining ether Seattle P.D. , the WSP, or which ever department will pay the most. well what's weird is I have this thing my cousin calls "Rage Mode" cause whenever me and him box, I never get asthma attacks, and I can get hit several times in the head without head gear and not feel a thing, my cousin is 18, and I am 16 btw. I get huge adrenaline rushes so I am not sure. When I have an adrenaline rush, I don't have asthma I guess.

I am extremely interested in applying for AF ROCT for college, but I had asthma which ended approximately at 13 years old. I am a current senior in high school and i have wanted to fly in the military my whole life. Will i be disqualified from even ROTC with my previous condition? If not, what are my chances for flight school following college?

I was going to join the navy and I even talked to the recruiter. I went through the application process only to find out after taking a PFT that I can not join due to asthma. Is it possible for me to join any other branch? My results from the PFT said I have moderate restriction. I was diagnosed in the past with mild asthma but I have never had an asthma attack even when I ran cross country.

I notice i am starting to get short of breath. Also i do smoke a lot of marijuana thru a pipe. Please don't tell me its bad for you because i know it is good for you. I cant inhale as much smoke as before and i do cough up mucus. I went to see my doctor and prescribe me antibiotics. But he said theres nothing wrong.

My condition i need to waived is a history of asthma past age 13, and I do not have asthma anymore, and that's confirmed on my last medical physical from a year ago. I have not shown any asthma symptoms since I was maybe 12, but I've still had precautionary meds past that date, up until I was 15 years old. I looked at the only 2 physicals I had past age 13, and they both said "No Shortness of Breath with exercise" and "Lungs: No wheezes, crackles; good air movement.". And on my last physical from a year ago, there were no mentions of asthma and no prescriptions for it. My doctor is also writing a letter explaining how my childhood asthma has regressed and died out over the years. I'm also going to write a letter to USMA waiver authorities explaining my condition. I think I am going to include that I have grown up and worked on a farm, and have been subjected to a lot dust, hay pollen, and chemicals and have been asymptomatic for some time now. Sorry for the long description, but can you all tell me your opinions about what my chances are? As of now, USMA and USAFA requested remedials through dodmerb, requesting that I provide all medical records from age 10-present.

I always see in american tv shows people with asthma being made fun of and just heard a girl complaining about her weight saying "I have asthma so I can't work out much". I have asthma and it's never stopped me from doing sport, I know professional athletes who have asthma, I really don't think it's an excuse for not living your life. Just take your inhaler. End of.

got to go to one at 5:30 tonight, never been to one before.. what will they do/ask to me? Thanks

i am 22 and my medical records will show my last "asthmatic flare up" was around 5-6 years ago. can i still join? do they check medical records? can i get a waiver? and the asthmatic flare up were the doctors words not mine. she did not use the words "asthma attack" does this matter? please and thank you could i qualify for a waiver? correct i dont need an inhaler and i have run to my limits with no signs of asthma

So i have exercise enduced Asthma and its really hard to deal with. I found out about a year ago i had it and i really hate it. Im working on trying to lose weight because im a little overweight and everytime i run and exercise i get out of breath and my heart starts beating really fast and sometimes i start to get like shaky my hands like shake a little if i don't stop right away. I dont know if some of it has to do with me being overweight but i just want to know is there an easy way i can deal with this and not get out of breath so fast, would it help if i lost some weight?

I'm thinking about getting a bird, but the only problem is that there's nowhere in the house to put it. I have asthma so my parents are worried that it will trigger my asthma, so they won' t let me put it in my room. Other than my room though, there really isn't any other place to put it. Bathroom: Definitely not Brother's room: Definitely not Kitchen: No because the fumes are bad for it Study: No because lots of people (non-family) are going in and out every day Living room: No because lots of people (non-family) are going in and out every day Family room: No because my brother plays with his friends and runs around there Guest room: No because lots of people (non-family) are going in and out every day Laundry room: No because door is always opening and closing, creating drafts, which are bad for it There's no other room in my house where I can put it! What do I do?? The living room is right across from the front door though so it's always really loud and if it escapes it could fly right through the door...plus it has a draft... My asthma isn't really that bad, but my parents are really overprotective and stuff...

My parents just agreed to buy me a cockatiel a few weeks ago, and we were supposed to pick it up tomorrow, but then today my parents brought up some stuff that made it sound like they weren't going to let me get it anymore. Three people in my family have asthma, and they said that birds give off a ton of dust and it's really bad for asthma and allergies. Then they said that if it ever gets sick then they aren't paying for any medical bills if it has to go to the vet. So either I pay for it, or it doesn't get treated. But I don't even have a job (my parents won't let me) so I can't pay for it! That means if it gets sick, it dies!!! I can't believe my parents are so selfish! What do I do? I really really really want this bird and I have already done a TON of resesarch on how to take care of them and I have been so excited to pick it up tomorrow and now all my dreams are crushed just because of this stupid asthma problem and money problem. PLEASE HELP!!!

i have not had an asthma attack in 5 years and it will not affect me qualifying, i am not worried about that. but it is on my medical history. and i am required to have my glasses or contacts when driving. can i still have either one in the army? i really want to join and i think i will do well on the asvab. please and thank you

i weigh 227 and i'm 5'9 and 25 years old. i want to lose weight because of my health and i want to look sexy for my husband. he says he don't care what i look like but come on, he likes skinny girls too. lol but anyways how can i do exercises with my asthma and bad knees? i tried to do crunches can't spell it sorry but after i did them the next day i was so sore in my stomach it's just now healing. is it that i'm just out of shape?

Okay, so Ive wanted to join the Marines since I was 4 yrs old and im now 16 turning 17 in a month and I was planning on joining as soon as I finish High School which is in a year but theres one problem...I was diagnosed with asthma when I was a little kid but I havent had any symptoms since I was 10, I can run a 6 min mile and im not worried about the sit ups and pull ups that I would have to do on the PFT can I still join?

Like orange inhalers? Would they all be the same, or sub categorized? If so, which of the orange ones can also be used for hayfever?

I heard that putting saline solution inside a nebulizer works well but it kind of made it worse. I ran out of my inhaler and have nothing else to use. Has anyone had success with short term home remedies for asthma?

Last night I woke up caughing and for a minute I stopes breathing so I got up out of bed and went to my swimming bag to grab my puffers. After that I was fine when I took them. I'm scared that I will do the same thing tonight but not wake up. So did I have one or not? I'm 14 just to let you know.

how did they make it through basic training? did they get a profile or a permant profile for runing? Thank you
